Swing

This past weekend we bought Jake a swing for our outdoor playset. He loves it! It doesn't seem possible that he is big enough to strap into a swing and let him go. After a long winter holed-up inside, we were itching to get out and play. The fun part is to watch Jake's face as he looks at the trees, follows a bird, or laughs when the wind hits his face. He helps us to focus on the little things that get easily overlooked and take the time to stand in awe of God's creativity!

The first official post for Jacob Shaffer's site! So it has only taken seven months to get the ball rolling, but it really still feels like July was last month.

Our little man is not so little. Jake is rolling his way around the house, exploring every little nook and cranny. It is a fun time to put him down in the middle of the playroom, leave for a few minutes and come back in to look for him. I'm preparing for games of hide-and-seek later in life!



He gets his handsome features from his dad, especially his cheeks that I kiss some 100 times a day. And Jake loves his daddy! He'll break into the biggest grin when Paul walks into the room. It is pretty amazing to see the two of them together.
